Work has started to connect the "old" portion of the theatre to the new southside building which will house the loading dock, the freight elevator and have the new heating ventilation and air conditioning units on the roof.
The basement connection will give access to the storage areas in the basement under the auditorium.

This week's construction ends with pumping concrete into the new north wall in the basement of the auditorium.

Just came from the weekly site meeting with the contractor. They are getting ready to pour concrete on Friday to complete most of the foundation upgrade.


The photo is architect David Roth sanding a portion of a pressed metal panel in the auditorium to see the different paint layers. The information will be used to help decide on new paint colours.

Restoration work in the theatre over the past few weeks has centered on upgrading the foundation. Here concrete is pumped into new pillars in the north wall of the basement.
